Class Syllabus

Welcome to the Fall 2024 Bachata class! We're excited to have you join us to explore and learn Bachata.

Dale and Peggy will be your instructors and classes will be held on Tuesday evenings.

Syllabus

Classes will go from 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm and will have review sessions from 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm prior to each week's class.

The classes are progressive and build on previous material, so please be sure to be punctual and attend as many as you can so you don't fall behind or have to drop out.

While Bachata is very much a couples dance, instruction will be delivered Rueda-style (think: latin square dancing in a giant circle with a leader calling each move and dancers changing partners frequently). This approach allows students to dance with many different partners quickly and easily.

We intend to teach all of the moves in the syllabus, but when they are taught may change based on the natural velocity and ability of the students in the classes.
